I want to bake!!!!

A colleague asked for the chocolate cake recipe. I emailed to her yesterday.

This afternoon she went for lunch and came back with 2 BIG bags of baking stuffs.

hehehe

Good for her.

I like to bake. Eh, wrong.....

I luurrrrrrrvvveeeee to bake.

I started baking at 16. Under Mummy's AND/OR Busu's supervision. When I was 18, Mummy told me to bake by myself. Only to ask her if I'm really not sure.

And I have been baking since then.

I have about 500++ recipes at home. All taken from the internet. Not including recipe books from Mummy, Busu and recipes that I copied from M-I-L.

Kinda freaky right.

I find baking therapeutic. Very relaxing.

And oh! I like baking alone. I hate it when people try to help coz I have my own way of doing things.

It always amazes me when people say the dun know how to bake or no time to bake.

To dat, I always answer, 'Dun know or lazy? No time or lazy?'

I have relatives who are already married and have kids and still cannot bake.

'Pandai/rajin/sanggup Jaja buat kuih. I tak bikin. Beli jer kat Geylang/Johor. Lagi senang.'

Ah ye lah tu Kak/Cik.......Kuih tak tau brape lame dah bikin....1 bulan jual kat bazar....I called them KUIH TENGEK.

No offence, but soooo true.

You are wrong if you think I only bake for myself.

Every Hari Raya I bake at least 8 types of cookies. For 6 families: 1) Myself, 2)My Grandma, 3)My M-I-L, 4)My D-I-L, 5) Julz & 6)The Office.

I told you I LUUUURRRRRRVVVVVVEEEEE to bake. It also helps that I have Fantabulous testers in my family.

Daddy, Jasmin, Julz, Aniz, Andi, Didee & AA: They will eat anything & everything.

Mummy & Busu: My sincere critics. 'Too sweet'. 'Next time bake longer'. Beat the butter & sugar a bit longer'. Etc..etc..etc...

Hubby & RR: If they dun like it, they won't eat it. Period.

It's times like this makes me miss my trusty Baby Belling.

I wonder if Mummy is going to get someone to repair it or if she's getting a new one.
